Gap Filler East Frame Proposal

Art direction, illustrations, infographics and layout of proposal for Gap Filler

Gap filler developed a proposal for a space activation programme, with Jn Creative and architectural firm Field, for Fletcher Living’s East Frame Residential Project – an anchor project in the Christchurch central city rebuild.

This 100 page proposal laid out the blueprint for several years of temporary projects: highlighting community organisations and stakeholders; show proposed projects with accompanying concept images; and, utilising infographics to unravel the complexities of the site, show the diversity, timings and locations of projects.

Gap Filler is a creative urban regeneration initiative that has facilitated a wide range of temporary projects, events, installations and amenities in Christchurch. Gap Filler was initially formed in response to the September 2010 earthquake in Christchurch, then expanded after the February 2011 quake.

I first connected with Gap Filler when I returned from living overseas and have worked with them on many projects including: creating a mural for the Dance-O-Mat; illustrating tshirts for the Pallet Pavilion; developing the artwork for the Gap Map; created the art installation Knit Happens; painting a giraffe for Gap Filler for Christchurch Stands Tall; and more!
